#1 Getting more light out of your candle
Grab an empty soda can and a knife. Next you’ll want to cut to horizontal lines, one about 3 inches about the other. Then you’ll need to make a vertical cut from the top line to the bottom line in the middle. And then fold the to flaps out and put your candle in it!
#2 Cleaning dirty water
What do you do if your only source of water is filled with dirt and other debris? Some may have a portable water filtration device, but if you don’t you can still filter all the debris out. First you’ll need to get two containers. Next you’ll need some cloth wether it’s ripped off your shirt or you have some extra cloth; you’ll want your cloth to be about 3″-4″ by 9″-10″. Roll it the cloth up long ways. Next you’ll need to put one end of the cloth in your dirty water and the other end in the other empty container. After a couple hours your empty container will begin to fill with dirt/debris free filled water. Your ready is not ready to drink just yet! You’ll still need to boil the bacteria out of it!
#3 Getting a cooking fire ready
Take an empty egg container and put charcoal in all the slots. Then close the container back up and light it on fire!
#4 Keeping the bugs away
If the bugs or mosquitos are biting really bad and you’re all out of bug spray use household herbs! Herbs like rosemary or basil will repel most insects when you light the herbs on fire!
#5 Solar powered microwave!
If you need to heat something up but don’t want to start a fire try a solar microwave! Take an empty cereal box and cut a large flap on it. Next, line the top and bottom of the inside flap and box with aluminum foil! Place your food on the foil and wait!
#6 Finding your way
If you need to figure out direction with out a compass try this! Take a metal object like a needle and rub it against your clothes a couple times. Place the needle on a leaf and float it on some water, the needle will always point north!
